Survey: Economic incentives for wet peatlands
The development of incentives that account for social and environmental costs and benefits of peatland use has been identified as a major action for achieving large-scale paludiculture (FAO 2016). We compile information on existing examples that acknowledge peatland or wetland ecosystem services to inspire incentives that may initiate and reward the shift to sustainable peatland use and increase the economic viability and competiveness of paludiculture.
